18.7.25

 Year 6,

I can't believe I am saying this, but you have come to the end of your time at primary school! I know you are going to go on to do amazing things and wish each and every one of you all the best as you move on. Thank you from myself and Mrs Stevenson for all of our goodies - we look forward to enjoying them. As promised, below are a couple of photographs from your last day.

For one final time, thank you for being such an amazing class, we wish you all the best, please come back and see us.

Have an amazing summer!

11.7.25

 Year 6,

As we come towards the end of the year, it is harder to write these without thinking about all that you have achieved. This week alone has been just as busy as the others. It has been predominantly focused on rehearsals for your show. You have also had a couple of mornings of PSHE where you have recapped puberty and conception, and learnt about the development from conception to birth. You have been working on you D+T project by building your sewing skills and considering how to create your final product. Many of you also visited your secondary schools on Thursday, and appeared to have had a really great time which was lovely to hear.

This week you also took home your SATs results. All the way along, we have said that they are just about you showing your best, and you really did. I am so incredibly proud of each and every one of you for what you achieved but must also say that there are many other things I am incredibly proud of you for that SATs don't measure!

Home Learning

Today I spoke to you about a piece of home learning I would like you to complete this weekend and before Monday. I would like you to come up with 2 or more memories from your time at Little Heath. These are then going to be shared and put to good use in your assembly at the end of the week. Even if you do not plan on sharing your memories in the assembly, you are expected to complete this task. Please try to come up with memories from different year groups (if you can) as this will provide more variety.

Clothing items which are needed on Monday if not already in school:

Mary - blue/white top and leggings

Innkeeper - T-shirt and black leggings

Angels - black leggings/trousers, white t-shirt (oversized if possible)

Wise Men - black leggings/trousers, black t-shirt (if you have any crowns at home, that would be great)

Shepherds - White t-shirts  (a toy sheep would be great)

Donkey - grey top and bottoms

Shakespeare characters - Black t-shirts and leggings (black shorts over the top if you feel necessary)

Adults/Teachers - Clothing you feel is appropriate for this

PE teacher - sports wear, heavy duty coat, gloves, hat, scarf

Next week is going to be quite a week!! You are going to have a final rehearsal on Monday, and the perform to the school on Tuesday morning and to parents on Wednesday evening. You are also going to have the Staff VS Year 6 rounders match on Thursday and your leavers assembly on Friday. I'd imagine it is going to be a tough week but for all the right reasons.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Cresswell

 Year 6,

Phew, what a week! You have spent much of it preparing for The Apprentice, which you completed today! You have also had a workshop on climate change which you said was informative and made you think.

Next week, much of our focus will be on the play. You should be script-free by now and so we will be working on how you can act out your roles. Fortunately most of you either need your uniform or clothing to impersonate parents or teachers. I have spoken to you about getting any outfits you need for your roles - please find the list below.
