WK 4 - Ready

After an incredibly successful week, Year 6 are ready to jump into week 4! I’m looking forward to catching up with you all on Monday during our parent consultations. Have a great weekend.

Half Term Project – My Hero

For our final half-term project, I would like the children to think about their real-life superhero. This could be a relative, a friend, a neighbour or celebrity/ famous person who has genuinely inspired them. The children will be asked to create a brief fact-file about this person  (when and where they were born, achievements, interesting facts and reasons why they are their heroes). We are going to be encouraging the children to interview (if possible) their real-life heroes in class so prepare yourself for an interview!

*Please note that we have explained to the children that their heroes cannot be fictional characters.

Return Deadline for this project will be the final week of the term.

Production

As we continue to perfect our Year 6 production, please ask your children about their costumes, props or resources that they may need. Also, please encourage the children to rehearse their lines and perform them at home to help build their expression, volume and confidence.

The Apprentice

The year 6 will be developing their entrepreneurial skills this half-term as they look to build a successful business. The children are familiar with the rules of the project but please ask them questions about how they are going to be profitable, efficient and professional throughout – perhaps by discussing their business plans with them and encouraging them to think BIG. Remember not to donate anything more than your support to their businesses otherwise you’ll be FIRED!

Trips

01/07/26 – Duxford Air Museum

02/07/26 - UCL x Ri: Science in Action at Bloosmbury Theatre

PGL

PGL was a massive success – the children were an absolute credit to their parents and their school. It was a privilege being part of the Little Heath team: so many of the PGL staff commented on how amazing, brave and polite the Year 6 children had been. Well done to all of you at home for your guidance and support.
