First 2 days in Year 6

 

Welcome back!

I hope everyone has had a restful and relaxing summer break and is ready for the new academic year ahead.

A few notices for Year 6 for the coming weeks,

PE will be on Tuesday, Thursday (football) and Friday, please make sure your child has the correct kit in school on these days.

Spellings will be given on a Monday to be tested the following Monday.

We have also started to think about writing a statement of intent to gain votes in order to become a school council member or a House Captain which is a privilege of Year 6. The children will be given time in class to perfect their statements which maybe handwritten, typed or presented with Google Slides. Some children have expressed a wish to make a start with this at home.

We have started a new class reader, Kensuke’s Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo, which the children are enjoying.
