Week beginning 19th October 2026

Our final week of the first half term, one-sixth of the year completed!!

Art inspired by Sian Storey

We have studied the work of British painter and muralist Sian Storey. She is known for her vibrant fusion of fine art and street art, creating expressive, nature‑inspired works that blend delicate brushwork with bold spray‑paint textures. Her paintings—often feature animals and birds. Year 6 have a small display board exhibiting a sample of our work.

Parent Teacher Consultations

If you were unable to attend this week’s consultation and you would still like a meeting to discuss your child’s progress so far, I can be available to book this in, for after the half term break.

Study Skill Club

Our first study skills session will begin straight after the half term break on Wednesday 4^th November, see you there.

Half Term Homework

Reading

All children have brought home a school copy of The Nowhere Emporium by Ross MacKenzie. In class we have read up to Chapter fourteen – Truce, page 108, it would be great if you could read the book.

Sumdog

I have set up a friendly competition, Battle of the Brains. Make sure you have your Sumdog account details available.

Have a great half term break.
